Plans, develops & delivers products and services which meet the needs of existing and potential corporate business customers in order to develop the Corporate Banking portfolio & maintain/ develop the Banks position in the Markets it operates in.
Responsibilities
- Manages client relationships and develops new business, including new opportunities, through marketing initiatives and effective account management through relationship managers and officers.
- Meets with key clients to develop and maintain the relationship; discusses client requirements in terms of banking & credit facilities, negotiates the terms and oversees the transaction through the control unit per established policies & procedures.
- Structures credit facility to meet the credit criteria; oversees compliance with the same.
- Conducts project site visits where necessary and monitor progress.
- Interacts with other local and overseas Banks and financial institutions on major deals for syndication and sell down purposes.
- Gives input into established credit policies and procedures established; reviews procedures and makes recommendations where improvement is needed to ensure that quick and good quality of service is presented and risk is minimized.
- Builds and develops a comprehensive business as well as marketing plans in order to achieve the area’s pre-determined objectives (e.g. identify potential customers, sell other products etc.)
- Monitors variances in plans and prepares progress reports in order to recommend corrective actions for management consideration and directives.
Requirements
- Degree qualified; MBA preferred.
- 12-15 years experience in Corporate Banking, 5 years in a senior capacity.
- Relevant country experience preferred; MENA region experience preferred.
- Experience in designing complex and international structures. Likely to have broad experience rather than a deep specialist in only one area.
- Communicates in English (verbal & written); Arabic a plus.
