Responsible for developing and managing client relationships and delivering a suite of banking services and products to a defined portfolio of corporate clients. Being the primary point of contact within NBK for those designated clients.

Identifying new business opportunities and cross-selling a range of NBK’s products and services, including: treasury, retail, investment banking, asset management and the IBG footprint.

Delivering “best-in-class” customer service to the Bank’s client base in the corporate sector.

• Responsible for identifying, developing & managing a portfolio of corporate client relationships.
• Acts as the primary point of contact and overall relationship manager for those clients. Supports the client wherever possible and ensures NBK is the first port of call for those clients
• Understands, in detail, the client’s business and negotiating and structuring facility & transaction proposals that both cater to the client’s requirements and meet the Bank’s broader objectives.
• Participates in the development of and achieving set targets on a quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis for the portfolio.
• Obtains, analyses and maintains all relevant financial and other information regarding his/her clients/ potential clients with a view to ensuring appropriate credit decisions are made by the Bank in respect of facilities extended to the client, in line with NBK’s extant risk policies and turnaround times to clients are made swiftly.
• Monitors continually client business performance, in addition to performing formal reviews at specified time intervals, to ensure early pick-up of change in the client’s business or operating environment.
• Presents and defends recommendations to the relevant Credit Committee.
• Works closely with colleagues to ensure cross-selling of NBK’s products and services.

• 4-6 years’ experience in corporate banking; with prime banking institution(s).
• Graduate/Post-graduate degree qualified.
• Ideally: Institute of Banking Studies or other relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA).
• Relevant country experience preferred.
• MENA region experience preferred.
• Communicates in English (verbal & written); Arabic a plus.
